T1 are back on track. After falling to DK in their previous Swiss match, they needed a clean answer against CTBC Flying Oyster on October 26, and a 27:23 win gave them exactly that.
The end-of-game numbers leave little room for argument. T1 finished with 14 kills to CFO's six, a gold lead of more than 6,000 and seven towers to four. They also took the game's only Baron. CFO did win the dragon count two to one, but it was the one column where they came out ahead.
Peyz does the heavy lifting
If one line stands out, it belongs to Peyz. His Jhin dealt 22,341 damage, comfortably the most on the map and well clear of Faker's Galio, the next highest at 14,708. Behind them, Keria finished his Rakan game at 2/0/10 without a single death and was involved in 86% of his team's kills. Doran added a 4/1/5 on Ambessa, and Oner's Vi went 3/1/8. As a team, T1 died just six times.
CFO's damage leaned heavily on two players. Shad0w's Qiyana went 4/3/2 and took part in every one of his team's kills, but there were only six to be part of. Doggo had the most gold on his side at 13,742, yet his Kai'Sa finished 0/4/6, while Rest's Rumble ended 0/2/2 and Kino's Alistar went 0/3/1. Three of CFO's five players never got a kill, arguably the clearest sign of how little room T1 gave them.
Where it leaves both sides
Losing this one doesn't end CFO's tournament. They opened the Swiss stage by beating TLAW before dropping a game to MKOI, and now sit at one win and two losses. That leaves them no margin for another mistake as they try to keep their Worlds run going.
T1, meanwhile, now have wins over ML and CFO alongside the defeat to DK. Next up is a quarterfinal against Karmine Corp on November 6. On this evidence, Peyz and Keria give them plenty to build around. Whether that holds up against a quarterfinal opponent is a different test.
