Movistar KOI got the job done in two. Their 2–0 win over Natus Vincere in Week 4 of the LEC leaned heavily on a bot lane that NAVI never found an answer for, with Supa finishing the series 18/3/7 across both games.
The opener was the cleaner of the two. MKOI won it in 31:29, gave up just five kills while taking 15, and finished with a gold lead of more than 10,000. Supa's Ezreal accounted for eight of those kills and nearly 30,000 damage, while Elyoya's Pantheon was involved in 80% of his team's takedowns. Across the board, no MKOI player died more than once, which tells its own story about how little NAVI got going.
Two Barons weren't enough
Game 2 was a different sort of contest, and arguably the more interesting one. NAVI took both Barons and split the dragons 2–2, which on paper should have given them a real shot at forcing a decider. They still lost the kill count 18–11 and the tower count 7–3 over 37:31. Supa was again at the centre of it, going 10/2/5 on Kai'Sa with 38,908 damage, the highest total of the series. Jojopyun's Orianna had a hand in 89% of MKOI's kills, and Myrwn, on Anivia of all picks in the top lane, chipped in 11 assists while dying once.
NAVI's carries weren't the problem, or at least not the whole of it. Poby and SamD each finished Game 2 with five kills and were their team's top damage dealers. The trouble sat elsewhere: Maynter ended the series without a kill and with six deaths, and Rhilech was 1/7 across the two games, numbers that suggest NAVI's early-game side of the map struggled to create anything for the players further down the damage chart.
Questions for NAVI
For MKOI, a sweep built on a carry performing at this level is a comfortable way to close out a week. If Supa keeps putting up numbers like these, opponents will have to start planning around him. NAVI, meanwhile, will want to understand how a game in which they took every Baron still slipped away so convincingly, and whether their top and jungle duo can give Poby and SamD more to work with next time out.
