G2 Esports are LEC champions. They swept Movistar KOI 3-0 in the best-of-five final on September 20, and none of the three games went past 32 minutes.
The scoreline tells most of the story, and the series totals tell the rest. G2 finished with 49 kills to MKOI's 15, 28 towers to four and three Barons to none. Each game ended with G2 between roughly 12,000 and 13,200 gold ahead. G2 played all three games on blue side, and MKOI didn't find an answer from red in any of them.
Hans Sama and SkewMond set the tone
Hans Sama was arguably the standout. He went 13/3/20 across the series and topped the gold charts in every game. His Yunara in game two did 42,423 damage, the highest single figure on the server all series. He died zero times in games one and three.
SkewMond's numbers point the same way from the jungle: 12 kills and 24 assists against just two deaths, including a 9/1/4 Wukong in the opener. Labrov, meanwhile, finished the series with only two deaths and 34 assists, peaking at 95% kill participation on Lulu in game two. Caps added a 6/1/6 Akali to the same game. With BrokenBlade also going deathless on Shen in game three, it was hard to single out a weak link.
Little for MKOI to build on
MKOI's bright spots were scattered. Myrwn put out 32,337 damage on Renekton in game two, the most on his team, but he finished that game 1/5/0 and went 0/2/0 with 0% kill participation on K'Sante in the closer. Jojopyun ended the series 2/11/6 and Supa 3/9/5. The two kills MKOI managed in game three were the lowest single-game total of the final, and two of their four towers across the series came in the opener.
The data doesn't say what comes next for either side. For G2 the trophy speaks for itself, and they won it without dropping a game. For MKOI the question is what they take away from a final in which they had no answer for G2's bot lane and jungle.
