HANJIN BRION made quick work of DN SOOPers. Their Week 13 LCK series ended 2–0, and across the two games BRO out-killed their opponents 43 to 12. That margin leaves little room for debate about which side was better on the day.
Neither game was close on the final scoreboard. BRO took nine towers in each and left both with Baron control in their column. They also swept all four dragons in the 33:21 opener, then finished the shorter second game, 29:18, more than 16,000 gold ahead.
Teddy and GIDEON lead the way
Teddy was arguably the cleanest player on the Rift. On Corki and then Caitlyn, the ADC finished the series with 16 kills and a single death. His 27,449 damage on Corki was the highest of anyone in the first game, backed by a hefty 389 CS. Roamer was nearly as tidy in mid, dying once in total across Cassiopeia and Syndra.
GIDEON stamped his name on the second game. His Pantheon went 11/1/11 and dealt 30,503 damage, the most of anyone in that game, and he was involved in 85% of BRO's kills. Behind them, Namgung racked up 30 assists over the series on Neeko and Karma. Casting's Olaf and Yorick, meanwhile, did the quieter work of soaking up pressure in the top lane.
Few answers for DNS
DNS had flashes of output. DuDu's Ambessa put up 24,917 damage in the opener, the second-highest total in that game. But the numbers soured quickly from there. deokdam went 0/5/0 on Ezreal in the second game without taking part in a single kill. Peter's 100% kill participation in both games says less about his impact than about how few kills DNS found at all: seven in the first game, five in the second.
For BRO, this is the sort of clean, low-risk series that teams look for at this point of the season, with their bottom lane barely touched and their jungler taking over the second game. For DNS, the problems go deeper than one bad draft. They will need to find a way to stay in games far longer than they did here, and the open question is how quickly they can turn that around.
