Invictus Gaming took a 2-1 series win over LYON in the Swiss stage at Worlds, with JiaQi and Rookie leading the way. LYON answered a heavy opening defeat with a commanding Game 2 before IG closed the series with a quick, objective-heavy decider.

Game 1 was all Invictus Gaming. On the red side, IG finished at 19 kills to 4 in just 27:09, with an 8,789 gold lead, seven towers to two and all four dragons. Every LYON player ended with a negative or even KDA, and Inspired's Nocturne finished at 1/6/1.

LYON hit back hard in Game 2, the longest game of the series at 38:04. From the red side, they won 18 kills to 8, took ten towers to IG's three and finished 11,662 gold ahead. Dragons and Barons were split evenly at three and one apiece, but LYON's structure count told the story. Berserker's Corki was the standout at 6/0/2, with 386 CS and a team-high 23,832 damage, while Inspired turned things around on Qiyana at 4/1/5.

The decider was the shortest game of the set at 23:59. Kills were close at 7 to 5, but Invictus Gaming finished with nine towers to one, all four dragons and an 8,443 gold lead. TheShy's Jayce went 2/0/2 with 15,272 damage, the highest in the game.

JiaQi was IG's most consistent threat, going 14/5/11 across the three games and finishing Game 3 at 5/1/2 on Caitlyn with 100% kill participation. Rookie delivered the biggest single performance of the series in Game 1, going 8/1/8 on Aurora with 27,099 damage. Meiko also deserves a mention for a flawless 0/0/16 Lulu line in the opener.
