Hanwha Life Esports beat G2 Esports 2-0 in their best-of-three Swiss stage meeting at Worlds on October 30. Both games finished in under half an hour, and the LCK side ended them with commanding margins in kills, gold and objectives.
Game 1, with HLE on red side, lasted 28:05 and ended 22 kills to 11. HLE finished with a 9,245 gold advantage and took nine towers to G2's one, plus three dragons and the only Baron. Caps was G2's brightest spot on Cassiopeia, going 5/3/4 and dealing a team-high 18,336 damage, but G2 could not take a single neutral objective.
Game 2 swapped sides and followed a similar pattern. HLE closed it out in 26:12 with a 19-8 kill count, a 7,033 gold edge, six towers to three, all four dragons and the Baron. Hans Sama gave G2 some punch on Xayah, going 4/2/2 with a hand in 86% of his team's kills, but HLE held control of the map's major objectives once again.
Zeka produced the standout single-game performance of the series. After setting up his team on Syndra in Game 1 with 13 assists, he took over on Swain in Game 2, finishing 10/1/3 with 22,943 damage, the highest total by any player across both games. Zeus was a constant presence in the top lane, going 8/2/10 with 20,634 damage on K'Sante in the opener and adding a 4/2/12 line on Ambessa with 84% kill participation.
Kanavi rounded out the trio with remarkable discipline in the jungle. He went 7/1/8 on Lee Sin with 19,928 damage in Game 1, then 2/0/7 on Jarvan IV in Game 2, a combined nine kills against just one death. Gumayusi also chipped in with a 6/1/9 Corki game worth 20,216 damage, underlining how many threats HLE fielded across the series.
