Disguised made short work of FUEGO. The LCS Regional Qualifier best-of-five went 3-0 to DSG on October 9, and the three games combined ran just over 79 minutes, with each game shorter than the one before it.

The tower count makes the point most clearly. FUE did not take a single turret in the first two games and finished the series with three, all in game three. DSG also took ten of the eleven dragons on offer and all three Barons, so FUE had very few objectives to show for the day.

KryRa sets the tone

If one DSG player stood out, it was arguably KryRa. The jungler went 21/2/18 across Pantheon, Wukong and Trundle, dying twice in three games while still getting into most of his team's kills. It is hard to pressure a side whose jungler is that difficult to catch.

He had plenty of help. Srtty went 10/2/2 on Jayce in game two, and Callme's Lissandra dealt a team-high 29,217 damage in the same game. In the closer finale, sajed carried the scoring on Varus with a 10/3/5 line and over 16,500 gold. Lyonz played the quieter role, finishing without a kill but with 38 assists over the series. The production came from different places in each game, so FUE could not shut down one threat and expect it to be enough.

Some fight from FUE, too late

Game three was where FUE pushed back the hardest. They scored 16 kills, more than in the first two games combined, and Jauny's Camille led the side with a 6/2/5 line and 19,524 damage. The gold gap also narrowed to roughly 9,000, after differences of about 13,600 and 15,500 in the opening two games. Even so, DSG still ended it in under 25 minutes, the quickest game of the series.

DSG had blue side in all three games and drafted a different champion in every role each time, which suggests a deep pool heading into whatever comes next. For FUE, the sweep leaves plenty to review. The biggest open question is how a side that held only three towers across three games can create the map pressure it so clearly lacked here.
