Peyz has never been this hungry. The T1 bot laner finished his quarterfinal against Karmine Corp on November 6 with 35 kills across four games, the most by any player in a Worlds series in Warded's records, which go back to 2024.

The old mark was 28, shared by Bdd and Viper from last year's tournament. Peyz cleared it by seven, and he did it while dying just three times in the whole series.

Four games, three deaths

It wasn't one huge game propping up the total. Peyz opened with 11 kills on Yunara, added eight on Kai'Sa, and closed the series out with an 11/0/5 Miss Fortune game as T1 won 3–1. Even the loss was clean for him: game 3 on Zeri ended 5/1/1.

That's 35/3/19 for the series. For a player in his first Worlds with T1, it was arguably the loudest statement anyone has made at this event.

JackeyLove's LPL mark

It's the second record to fall in the knockout stage. A night earlier, JackeyLove became the LPL's all-time leader in Worlds kills with his 359th, according to the LPL, in the same 3–1 quarterfinal loss to IG that ended TES's tournament.

The record HLE didn't want

Not every entry in the book is a good one. Hanwha Life Esports went out in the Swiss stage after a 2–0 loss to BLG, and per Sheep Esports, that made them the first Mid-Season Invitational champion to miss the Worlds playoffs in the same year.

Viper next

The next test has a neat twist. T1 face BLG in the second semifinal, which puts Peyz across the Rift from Viper, one of the two players whose record he just broke. GEN, who swept IG 3–0, are already waiting in the final.
